I was serving in the U.S. Army when I got saved in Aug. of 1995. I was able to attend right away a King James Bible believing church in Vilseck, Germany. While attending church there, I learned how to soul win, street preach, and teach Sun. school to the children. I also was given the privilege to operate and run their Christian bookstore. When my pastor David Trosclair in Germany was getting ready to go back to the States he recommended me going to Bible school. While I was at Bible school, the Lord gave me a good wife. We got married in Dec. of 1999 and we have three children. While attending Bible school, I was involved in three ministries. All three of the ministries involved preaching to inmates for up to 2 1/2 years. Many came to know Christ as their Saviour in those ministries.
When I graduated, my family and I started deputation to go to the field of South Africa. We got to the field in 2 1/2 years. While we were there, a church was planted and a radio ministry was started. I started a Bible institute and taught 7 hours a week. I also taught a discipleship course I put together that took 1 1/2 years to go through with my new converts. A man who was one of my students prayed about starting a prison ministry and he did. He is now teaching the inmates the discipleship material I taught him. The radio ministry that I started is also going on still. On average 80,000 - 100,000 people tuned in during the preaching or teaching. Since I have left, the church has bought their own property, and plan on building a church building in the near future. The man who I turned the church over to was taught in my Bible school and he is training another man for the ministry.
While I was there, I also got to teach and preach in other churches as well as preach at tent meetings. Many souls were saved and many were taught sound doctrine. One man who is my best friend in South Africa was a charismatic preacher when I met him. He used the NIV. He used to let women preach in the pulpit, including his wife. He believed in tongues and he did not believe in eternal security. While I dealt with him slowly for over a year, the Lord opened his eyes to the truth and now he is a Baptist, teaches his people eternal security, and is now a King James Bible believer.
I also had the privilege of starting an old folks ministry while helping a veteran missionary there and they took over the ministry when I moved on to start my own work. Even today, there are still souls getting saved at the old folks home. I also had a police ministry. I preached to and taught the policemen and women who were in training to become police officers. I got to lead the head teacher to the Lord and see others get saved in that ministry. The police ministry continues to go on with my African brother in the Lord ministering to the trainees there.
My goals now as an evangelist are the following:
- To hold evangelistic campaigns both stateside and overseas.
- To hold mission conferences both stateside and overseas.
- To ship Bible literature and materials worldwide.
- To hold Bible conferences for teaching and training national pastors overseas.
